This notion of using self care to help others can be seen in the civil rights and women’s rights movements of the 60s and 70s. Let that sink in for a second, very little to no reference to the latest gadgets or pampering tools. It was instead routed in the struggle to bring underrepresented communities up to an equal level, to fight for equality and basic rights for all.
